About The Kiss Curse

This paranormal romance novel returns to Graves Glen, a small town so thoroughly saturated with magic that every October the veil between worlds grows thin and the local witches get busy. Gwyn Jones, a powerful witch who runs her own shop and handles whatever supernatural nonsense Graves Glen generates, finds herself dealing with a new complication: a visiting Fae scholar who has come to study the town's unusual magical properties and who is impossibly charming, suspiciously knowledgeable, and annoyingly attractive. Erin Sterling writes cozy small-town paranormal romance with sharp dialogue and a genuine sense of community — Graves Glen feels inhabited rather than decorated, and the running jokes about tourist-season witch problems give the story warmth and texture. The enemies-to-lovers arc between Gwyn and Calhoun develops with appropriate skepticism on Gwyn's side; she has seen enough Fae politics to know that beautiful and harmless rarely coexist. The mystery of why Calhoun is really here provides narrative momentum beyond the romance, and the resolution is satisfying without being predictable. Steamy enough for romantasy readers who want heat without grimdark, witty enough to avoid saccharine. An ideal comfort read for the October shelf.
